- Franklin, IN-April 2013-As a life enrichment director, you are always looking for new and creative ways to connect with residents and that is exactly why the latest program, ‘Clowning Around’ was created. Marybeth Piland, life enrichment director for Morning Pointe of Franklin Assisted Living, witnessed first-hand how much one resident, Arlis Hardwick enjoyed being dressed up as a clown for Halloween; so she decided the 92-year- old should do it more often. “The smile on his face was just priceless,” said Piland. - Franklin, Indiana- March 2012- Residents of Morning Pointe of Franklin help tornado victims in Henryville. After first learning of the damage to Henryville, the assisted living residents along with friends and family gathered several hundred dollars’ worth of supplies specifically for the elderly. They delivered toiletries, Kleenex, Depends, denture cleaner and much more. Pictured are : 7 Scottsburg volunteers accepting donations along with Morning Pointe volunteers Lloyd (on lift) and Diane McKillip (on bus steps), residents Martha Wales, (seated) Joe Healy (seated) and Neva Tiepen-(standing by bus) all helped deliver the much needed supplies to the Scottsburg disaster collection site.
