FRANKFORT, KY — Residents at The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Frankfort, delivered smiles to unsuspecting people in the community.

The seniors from the Alzheimer’s memory care campus were celebrating “Make Someone Smile Day,” handing out lollipop bouquets to anyone needing cheer.

Customers and associates at Neil Huffman Automotive Group were pleased to see the seniors, who exchanged treats for smiles.

But acts of kindness are nothing new for the residents. As part of the Meaningful Day™ program, Morning Pointe is partnering with local organizations to pay it forward, and giving residents the opportunity to put their lifelong talents and crafts to use for the greater good.

The yearlong community service campaign, called “Make Your Mark,” is a company-wide volunteer effort to give back 20,000 hours of community service in 2017.
