CALHOUN, GA. — Morning Pointe of Calhoun residents gathered around the craft table to make greeting cards for the Gordon County Police Department officers.

“Our residents are very proud of the local police department and wanted to say thank you for all that they do for our county,” says Lisa Caldwell, life enrichment director at the assisted living and memory care community. “They cannot wait to deliver them. They worked very hard on this project.”

But this act of kindness is nothing new for the senior living residents and associates, who inspired a yearlong volunteerism project called “Make Your Mark.” Morning Pointe senior campuses across the Southeast have teamed up with local organizations and partners to give back 20,000 hours of community service during 2017.
