LEXINGTON, KY — The residents and associates at The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Lexington paid it forward this Easter, assembling Easter baskets to be donated to NECCO, a local foster care agency.

For several weeks, The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Lexington has accepted donations from the community-at-large — all of which went into the baskets to be delivered to those in need.

But this act of kindness is nothing new for the seniors. Since the beginning of the year, Morning Pointe’s senior living and memory care communities across the Southeast have been paying it forward. From pet treats to potted plants, the goodwill of the seniors and associates inspired the “Make Your Mark” campaign — a yearlong project to give back 20,000 of community service in 2017. Already, they have given back 10,000 hours of volunteerism with no signs of slowing down.
