LEXINGTON, KY — Thompson-Hood Veteran’s Center was the destination for Morning Pointe of Lexington-East residents, who wanted to show their gratitude to those who served.

The personal care and Alzheimer’s memory care community handed out more than 200 “thank-you” cards and homemade cookies for the patients to enjoy in exchange for smiling faces.

But acts of kindness are nothing new for the residents. As part of the life enrichment and Meaningful Day™ programs, Morning Pointe is partnering with local organizations to pay it forward, and giving residents the opportunity to put their lifelong talents and crafts to use for the greater good.

The yearlong community service campaign, called “Make Your Mark,” is a company-wide volunteer effort to give back 20,000 hours of community service in 2017.
