LEXINGTON, KY — Morning Pointe of Lexington-East teamed up with the local Zaxby’s to serve meals with a mission. The senior living and Alzheimer’s memory care community and the chicken franchise partnered to raise 25 percent of total sales during the day to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.

The participants raised $300 for the cause, which will go toward Morning Pointe’s goal to raise $15,000 for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s taking place on August 26 at the Fayette County Courthouse.

Morning Pointe residents and associates partner with local businesses to pay it forward, serving up acts of kindness to make a difference in the community as part of the yearlong “Make Your Mark” campaign. The volunteerism project involving Morning Pointe communities across the Southeast is aimed at giving back 20,000 hours of service in 2017.
